Dr. Aguirre has worked as designer engineer, researcher, business manager, civil servant, university teacher, advisor, investor and businessman. He is the creator of “Enfoque Didactico del Diseño”, which has helped to create products, programs and business leaders in the market and generated thousand of millions of dollars in new incomes for companies and governments.

Until February 2007 he occupied the charge of tech director in CONACYT and under his responsibility the investment in the public sector grew five times and the rules for the national system of innovation were implemented.

He is the head of Grupo Aguirre, manager-founder of LatiPnet, the Latin-network of innovation business, academic leader in ITESM and guest speaker from IPADE and teacher in MIT.

He got his doctorate from Cambridge University, a master in the university of Loughborough and a master’s in design from the engineering faculty in UNAM, from where he obtained his title of electrician mechanic engineer.

He is author of books and many articles in innovation and design topics. He has more then 50 patents, commercial brands and utility models under his name; he has been distinguished with three national recognitions and he is listed as an international expert by the ONUDI.
