With the presence of the entire national sector of the footwear industry and in a very prominent way with that of the footwear cluster of Guanajuato, the eighty-sixth edition of Sapica will be held from March 8 to 10, at the Polifórum de León convention center, Guanajuato.

The Leather and Footwear Exhibition (SAPICA) stands out for being an exhibition in which business related to the footwear, leather goods and, in general, leather-derived, products industry is conducted. In addition, SAPICA, is one of the most legendary exhibitions in Mexico, its beginnings date back to the year 1974.

In a very significant way, we will again have the presence of micro and small companies manufacturing shoes and leather products that the Government of the State of Guanajuato supports through the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development under the entrepreneurship approach. The leather, footwear and leather goods industry is the second most important manufacturing sector generating employment in the State.

With the wide variety of visitors, Sapica will show to the national market the importance of sustainability in the leather supply chain and will focus on the global response to the leather industry; in addition, it will be crucial to analyze how innovation  and sustainable solutions can address these problems since it is vital that all people have a deep awareness of the importance of caring for the environment.

Fashion trends and the future of footwear will undoubtedly be very important issues that will be addressed in the very next 86th edition of this exhibition, as well as witnessing the methods and changes that this has generated.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that “Shoes from México” has gained great strength in the last two years, and this export program for shoes made in Mexico which aims to bring Mexican products to international markets, is working well, both for manufacturers and international buyers.

The series of conferences in the “Knowledge Pavilion” will focus on developments and new methods for the production and marketing of footwear. In this way, the supply chain, will be an important ally for both manufacturers and suppliers to create and generate alliances under the best agreements to produce footwear, an extremely essential product, more dynamically.

Regular buyers will be gathered, plus the new ones that join the business of buying and selling shoes and leather products each season. Once again, Leon, Guanajuato will be, for three days, the fashion center of the footwear industry in Latin America.
